Indian Psychiatric Society

The Indian Psychiatric Society (IPS), founded in 1947, is the premier professional body for psychiatrists in India. With thousands of members across the country, IPS is dedicated to advancing psychiatric knowledge, improving mental health care, and supporting continuing medical education for psychiatry professionals.

Psychopharmacology Specialty Section

The Psychopharmacology Specialty Section is a dedicated body within IPS focused on advancing the understanding and practice of psychopharmacology among Indian psychiatrists. The section organises educational initiatives, promotes evidence-based prescribing, and develops resources for postgraduate training and continuing professional development.

This quiz series is one such initiative — designed to provide psychiatry postgraduate students and practitioners with challenging, clinically relevant MCQs that test and reinforce core psychopharmacology knowledge.
